Hello, Natasha!

Natasha

Hello. Masha!

Masha

How do you find the weather these days?

Natasha

Well, the weather has been really unsettled. But if it keeps fine for the week-end, I will go to the Museum of Russian Art in Kiev.

Masha

I have never been there.

Natasha

I am sure, if you visit it once, you will visit it regularly. There are many world famous works there. But as tor me, I always try to find the paintings of my favourite artist, Ivan Aivazovsky.

Masha

I know, his «The Ninth Wave» is a world-famous masterpiece.

Natasha

Many of his works are dedicated to the sea. Maybe, that is because he was born in Theodosia.

Masha

He is considered to be a Russian painter.

Natasha

Yes, but he has some works, dedicated to Ukrainian culture and history as well. "The Ukrainian Wedding" is one of them.

Masha

I once saw his work "The Black Sea". It was really impressive.

Natasha

He showed the struggle between the people and the sea, the power of the sea and the courage of the people.

Masha

Well, perhaps, if I have free time on the weekend, I'll go with you.
