Hello, Olya!

Olya

Nice to see you, Vadim!

Vadim

What are you reading?

Olya

That's my favourite book by Hemingway. It is called "For Whom the Bell Tolls"

Vadim

I have heard a lot about this book. But I do not like to read about war and events that happened long ago.

Olya

Well, I think, this book is about people, not about war. It is not a historical novel. The author depicts the changes in character and views of the people v face difficulties.

Vadim

And what kind of difficulties do the main characters face?

Olya

They had to overcome their fear every day. Some of them fell in love. And that also changed their attitude towards the war.

Vadim

I do not think that people are able to love during the war.

Olya

If you read this book, you will understand that it is always possible to stay strong and be able to share feelings. This book changed a lot in my views. Now I think that the most important thing in life is to find understanding and support and be able to take care of somebody.

Vadim

Well, I will read this book when I have time.
